The Bungalow has been tastefully furnished recently to a luxury standard.It is beautifully positioned right on the river, and only 800metres away from the Indian Ocean.It has a stunning view across the river to a Buddhist temple.It is ideally placed for fishing and river trips and Bird Watching.The large landscaped garden has palm, mango, coconut, king coconut and bamboo trees.A large patio area for sunbathing and dining, or just relaxing in the Jacuzzi and watching the wildlife and fishermen, catching fish and prawns.Occasionally listen to the distant sounds of Pali chants from the temple.
Included in the rental of the bungalow is the use of a motor boat with own jetty and mooring, and the use of a Jacuzzi for up to 6 people with covered pagoda.
The Bungalow is situated in Ambalangoda Town, in the tourist district of Galle. There are some good restaurants/take away and fascinating fish and fruit markets. There is a good selection of shops in the town, including retail shops, batiks, antique, and mask carving. Palm fringed sandy beaches are just 5 minutes away.
The Bungalow is unique for a romantic honeymoon and equally for a family holiday. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful paradise Island. |

Bedroom
3 Large double bedrooms with 2 large four poster double beds with Mosquito nets.
2 antique single beds dating back to 1867 are in the 3rd bedroom. The master en suite bedroom faces the river, opening onto its own veranda, and river view.
Bathrooms
Master bedroom has en suite toilet, large shower and 2 sinks. The main bathroom has a toilet, bath and shower.
Kitchen
Modern fully equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, bottled water dispenser, cooker, hob, extractor hood, washing machine, dishwasher. Additional Sri Lankan style Kitchen for the preparation of local dishes. Breakfast table seating for 4 / 6 people with river view

Large living / dining room.Tastefully furnished with many Antiques pieces from Asia.Living area seating for 15 people.Dining Table seating for 10 people. Patio Doors opening onto side garden.

Staff/ Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service
Quality towels and linen are included and there is a weekly maid service. The driver/guide will keep the garden clean and generally tidy and will help with shopping. He is on call 24hrs and will ensure that your holiday is as care-free as possible. He has his own room and separate toilet and shower facilities.
Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is self-catering. A welcome pack is included with bread, milk, eggs, butter and fruit. Air conditioning in master bedroom and Living/Dining Room, ceiling fans in other living areas.Children are welcome but parents should be aware of the river with small children.Decorative fencing panels have been installed with a lockable river access door for safety.Cot/high chair available. Child minder can be arranged.
