Paradise Island Resort is located in Bentota about 60km to the South of Colombo along a palm fringed sandy beach overlooking both the Indian Ocean and the river. The Colombo - Galle - Matara Southern Railway line or the Colombo - Galle main coastal road are the most convenient ways to get to Bentota. |

The accommodation setting at Paradise Island Resort is very simple with basic red-brick individual cottages. These 26 air-conditioned terraced bungalow-styled rooms overlook either the river or the Indian Ocean. All units include a telephone and attached bathrooms with hot and cold water. In the evenings you can sit by your own cottage and enjoy the calm atmosphere with the sea breeze blowing gently. |
Paradise Island Resort Facilities |
Paradise Island Resort is strictly for Ayurveda clients only. The Ayurveda Centre is designed and operated solely for in house Ayurveda guests and offer a treasure of ancient, time-tested health rejuvenation secrets to rebuild your body and mind using simple, all-natural methods. The centres consist of several specially designed cubicles to administer a variety of therapies. To begin you will be examined by an Ayurveda specialist doctor, who will determine your condition and prescribe your course of treatment, diet, and therapy according to your needs. Then onwards you will be given personalised attention and a team of friendly, well-informed staff will be at hand to serve you. Yoga and meditation programmes are offered to compliment your Ayurvedic treatments.
Paradise Island Resort houses a restaurant that serves wholesome natural Ayurveda health food that includes vegetables and fish. No meat is provided. Guests are offered herbal drinks and alcohol is not provided. There is a large fresh water swimming pool, Ayurveda health products shop, laundry services, foreign currency exchange, IDD and Internet facilities, left luggage services, English, German, French and Italian speaking Guest relation officers as well as a Library. Cultural shows and evening entertainment is also organized by the Paradise Island Resort. |

| The Bentota River offers a range of water sport activities for guests such as windsurfing, water-skiing and sailing. Things to do in Bentota includes a visit to the "Brief Garden" in Kalawila which is laid out in a five acre land with tropical trees, the "Kaneliya Rainforest" with its rare birds and animals, Tea Plantations at Udugama, the Kalutara Buddhist Temple, the Galapatha Viharaya and also the Galle Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While in Sri Lanka, you can always choose a variety of activities from lazing on the beach to diving in coral reefs, mountain hikes and observing wild life.
