Bentota Waterside Location

Waterside is located in the foremost tourist seaside resort in Sri Lanka - Bentota. The resort can be reached via Galle Road or by boat from Bentota or Aluthgama. Approximately 64km South of Colombo, the entire region of Bentota is well sheltered by tropical trees. The Colombo-Galle main road and the Southern Railway line are the most convenient ways to reach this holiday destination.

Guests are offered six guestrooms that are individually designed and include a full bathroom, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini fridge, satellite television and a telephone. All furniture found in these guestrooms has been locally crafted while all paintings and artefacts have been sourced from Sri Lanka. Bentota Waterside Facilities

Waterside - Bentota houses a beautiful restaurant sheltered under a traditional Sri Lankan timber roof and is also open to the garden, the outdoor swimming pool and river. Both Sri Lankan and International cuisine is prepared by the chefs in a modern kitchen while guests are welcome to visit the kitchen upon request.

Service includes Sri Lankan rice and curry being a specialty while a la carte International dishes as well as lobster and prawn dishes are also included in the menu. Waterside also has a full liquor license. The tranquil setting, riverside gardens and roof bar make this an ideal spot for both intimate and larger wedding groups. Flowers, fireworks, local drums or bands or dancers can all be arranged. Romantic pool side tables or barbeques in the garden can make your stay quite memorable.

Bentota Waterside Excursions

Excursions and daytrips can be arranged for guests by Waterside - Bentota. Boasting of a magnificent three mile stretch of sandy beaches, Bentota also has a lagoon for water sports which can be accessed from Waterside by a five minute boat ride. Waterside also arranges boat rides to the beach.

Excursions from Bentota include Induruwa which has an offshore reef and safe swimming beaches, Kosgoda which is located 8km South of Induruwa - the most famous turtle hatching site along the South Western coastal belt and the Brief Garden which is 11km inland from Bentota is a beautiful eco park set up in a 5 acre garden.
