The Romance Valley Location |
Romance Valley is situated in the Southern Part of the Hill Country of Sri Lanka which is about a 4 hour drive from Colombo. Found along the side of the 189km post of the Colombo - Wellawaya road via Beragala this property is found in one of the most picturesque and serene locations in the island.
Romance Valley offers guests a birds eye view of the surrounding mountains, valleys, lakes and forests as well as the southern region of the island. There is a train station and central bus station found in the town centre of Haputale. |

The Romance Valley Excursions |
The Haputale town offers you a magnitude of natural and architectural sites as well as activities such as trekking and hiking. The Adisham bungalow which is now a monastery run by the Benedictine monks used to be the manor of Sir Thomas Villiers. A section of the mansion is open to the public.
The Diyaluma Falls which is the second highest water fall in Sri Lankan is about 13km from Wellawaya. Hiking along the Namunukula range is also an adventurers dream while the Horton plains are a marvel with the highest plains and highest gap in Sri Lanka.
There is about a 5km trek through the plains to reach the World’s End Gap which is breathtaking. You can also head towards the towns of Bandarawela and Diyatalawa that brings you to more tea estates and gushing streams.
