Tientsin Bungalow Location

Another venture of the Ceylon Tea Trails, Tientsin Bungalow is also located towards the South of Hatton. Tientsin which is the farthest away from Hatton is about a 45 minute drive away. Hatton also has a Railway station that serves to Colombo, Kandy and also Nanu Oya. Tientsin Bungalow is approximately 19km from Hatton and 8.5km from the Norwood Junction. Colombo is about 130km away.

Tientsin Bungalow consists of 6 guestrooms that are equally adorned with elegant furniture and comfortable settings. The Master Suite which is named "Irvine Stewart" is the largest of the 6 and includes a king size bed, separate living room, a bath and separate showers and also beautiful views across the valley and tea estates.

Tientsin Bungalow also has 3 garden suites namely "Bretherton", "Moir" and "Fraser" with king size beds, bath with rain shower and private verandah with garden views. The 2 luxury rooms "Brebham" and "Meares" has king size beds, bath with hand showers and wonderful garden views. Each suite is of polished wooden floors and high ceilings.

Tientsin Bungalow Excursions

Since Tientsin Bungalow is on a working tea estate, guests can experience how the world's finest tea is made. The entire process of tea being harvested by hand and the traditional tea manufacturing process in the nearby factory can be observed. Professional guides and equipment for white water rafting, mountain biking, guided walks and other excursions are provided.

The nearby Darrawela Planters Club, offers the usual club facilities such as tennis, snooker, pool, a bar, badminton as well as Cricket and Rugby grounds. Golf is available in Nuwara Eliya or at the Victoria Golf Club in Kandy both which are about 2 hours away.
