Approximately 101km from Colombo and about 18 km away from Galle, guests arriving at the cottage can reach Hikkaduwa via the Colombo - Galle main road as well as the Southern Railway line that runs from Colombo Fort to Matara. |

Day tours and sight seeing tours are organized by the Ocean View Cottage management as per your individual wishes with your own personal tour guide. Guests can make day tours to Galle and witness the historic majesty of the Galle Fort that runs by the ocean.
You can also make a trip to the Kanneliya Forest or the Sinharaja Rainforest. Hikkaduwa beach provides travellers a range of water sports, diving, surfing and snorkelling.
There are ship wrecks that divers yearn to explore while there are diving instructors offering PADI courses and the necessary equipment. Hikkaduwa is also a famous marine sanctuary which includes shallow waters surrounded by a reef with a range of tropical fish, turtles and various formations of coral that can be viewed from fibre glass boats.
