Mermaid Hotel and Club is located at the lovely sandy beach of Mahawaskaduwa, a fishing village of the tourist beach resort city of Kalutara, 73 km south of Bandaranayake International Airport. Airport is located 37km north of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Kalutara, the gateway to South-western coastal belt and southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka replete with finest bay beaches, can by reached by Railway as well as by the main road called Galle Road by crossing the Kalutara Bridge.
The towering white dome of great modern stupa right at the entrance to the city of Kalutara just across the bridge on the southern bank of River Kalu Ganga, built bordering the main road, to the left, takes you by surprise.

Restaurants and bars
Located on an upper level of a split-level building is the main restaurant overlooking the swimming pool and the Indian Ocean. The couples find the alfresco area adjoining the restaurant to their liking to enjoy an intimate candle-lit dinner. Set menus, buffet meals, set menu an a la carte menu with a selection of sea food delicacies are served at the main restaurant.
