The rustic stone wall Aigburth Manor is situated at 3,000 ft above sea level in the cool hills of Rakwana surrounded by the Sinharaja rain forest. The Aigburth Manor was built during the British Raj by a English Tea Planter by the name James T. Allan in 1925. It has now been fully refurbished retaining its old world charm. It has five spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms with hot and cold water, two of which have fire places. A total of 14 guests can be accommodated. The large lounge overlooking the famous Buluthota Pass, is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the quiet and tranquility of the area. Bungalow is given on Full Board basis and also to one crowd only, so that the guest have total privacy. During the day take a plunge in the swimming pool, which is filled by the natural springs of the Sinharaja rain forest. The A M has well trained dedicated staff who are there to pamper to all your needs. |

The resident chef cooks Sri Lankan and Western cuisine to suit the palates of guests from around the world. Aigburth Manor also have a well stocked wine cellar. Mountain bikers can explore the beautiful countryside through the paths of the tea estate exploring the surrounding hills.
Tea drinkers will appreciate a guided tour of the tea factory where you will learn the complete manufacturing process. Also sample a few of our excellent teas, known as the 'green gold' of Sri Lanka.
