Located about 70km East of Tangalle is the Bundala National Park where bird-watching enthusiasts can spend time exploring. For the more religious minded explorer, the Mulkirigala ancient Buddhist temple which stands over 200 metres high can be visited where wall paintings and Buddha statues provide a serene atmosphere.
