This coastal village is approximately a 15 minute tuk ride away from Galle while the drive from Colombo takes about 3 1/2 - 4 hours. The Colombo-Galle-Matara motorway is the most convenient route to reach the hotel. |

Apa Villa consists of 3 distinctive villas that house 7 suites that are stylishly designed and comfortably set.
Cinnamon Villa – The three suites offered at the Cinnamon Villa are light and airy with a spacious lounge area opening on to an outdoor terrace that faces the garden and the ocean. The suites include a large double bed with a mosquito net, an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower, a writing table cum dresser and ample wardrobe space. All suites are air-conditioned while Cinnamon 1 connects with the neighbouring Cinnamon 2 suite creating a spacious apartment for large families. Cinnamon 3 is the largest of the three and is a detached suite adjacent to the common lounge and library.
Cardamom Villa - The two Cardamom suites are separate yet adjacent to one another. Large rooms with en-suite bathrooms, lounge and air-conditioned bedrooms which is screened by door panels and a walk-in dressing area. There is a stunning view of the pool, ocean and beyond. Guests can also relax along the long shared veranda which is of cool polished cement that includes a dining table for breakfast whilst enjoying the cool morning breeze. Romantic candle lit dinners are also entertained.
Saffron Villa - The two Saffron suites stand out from the entire property. These designer suites include their own veranda which overlooks the garden and the ocean. The two suites are separated by a fish filled lily pond while Saffron 6 is considered to be the most spacious suite of the entire property. Doubled bedrooms adjoin a master bathroom with separate doors leading onto the garden, living room and pool. |

Breakfast can be enjoyed on the veranda of each suite at your preferred time. Apa Villa offers a standard breakfast of fresh fruits, blended fruit juice, tea/coffee/milk while the main course for breakfast is the western speciality of eggs with bacon, sausages or cheese. Sri Lankan breakfast specialities of plain or egg hoppers have to be ordered the evening before. Guests also enjoy buffalo milk curd with sweet treacle for breakfast.
Other choices of meals include fresh lobster, tiger prawns and yellow fin tuna cooked to various recipes, Sri Lankan curries, red rice, local specialities harvested from the hotel's own estate, fresh herbs, tender jack fruit curry which is a local favourite as well as tropical fruits such as pine apple, mango, banana, watermelon and passion fruit. Homemade desserts include chocolate and fruit fondue, buffalo curd with treacle, pancakes with coconut and palm sugar fillings etc.
The outdoor swimming pool is shaded by palm trees while the deck at the beach side is ideal to read and simply laze around all day watching the waves break and the fascinating stilt fishermen. You can also sip cocktails in the late afternoon while watching the sunset over the horizon. Renowned for its fine service, the staff attends to all your needs. The historic city of Galle is a short drive away. There is also a museum inside the Dutch Fort, with artefacts reflecting art and culture of the Southern Province. The National Maritime Museum is also situated within the Fort. Other water based sports can also be enjoyed along the coastal areas closer to the resort.
