| Situated between Matara and Galle approximately 143km from Colombo, the Weligama Bay Resort lies on the Southern tip of Sri Lanka in the middle of the Weligama Bay. The location is considered as a pure hideaway with a 5km stretch of beach surrounded by palm groves. Weligama is reachable by the Colombo-Galle-Matara motorway as well as the Southern Railway line. Intercity and local buses run on a regular basis. . |

All rooms at the resort include king sized beds, individually split remote controlled air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, electronic safe, LCD flat panel HDTV, CD/MP3/DVD player, satellite channels, high speed internet access, minibar with freezer, telephone and European style electric plugs. Bathrooms include shower, hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel.
The 10 superior rooms are located on the first floor of the Weligama Bay Resort's main building and consist of its own terrace with a seating area overlooking the beautiful Weligama Bay. There are 2 connected bungalows that are situated in the garden with their own terrace, each with 2 individual rooms. The resort also offers 6 garden villas that are situated near the beachside and the swimming pool. Offering luxurious accommodation are the 2 junior suites and the 2 royal suites that are located on the second floor of the main building. Each of the suites consists of a large terrace with seating and relaxing areas and beautiful views of the bay. There is also an elevator up to the second floor.

The restaurant at Weligama Bay Resort is named after the ship sailing from Asia to England with tea - the famous Cutty Sark Clipper. The restaurant is located just by the beach and is divided into two parts. One is an air-conditioned dining area and one is an open air terrace with a cocktail bar. Breakfast is served at both locations.
You can enjoy cocktails and fresh juices all day as well as local draft lion beer and many types of imported wines and liquors. All day dining from the a la carte menu includes local Sri Lankan curries and traditional meals, fine sea food dishes, meat and pasta specialties with accompaniments such as salads, and tempting desserts. High tea is offered in the afternoon with Ceylon tea, coffee, cakes and pies. For romance and privacy, dinner can be arranged on the beach or in the intimacy of your room or terrace while you enjoy the sunset.

For total relaxation and wellness, the Weligama Bay Resort offers guests the "Bawana Spa" with Ayurvedic treatments, aromatherapies, thermo massages, hot stone massages, body and facial cosmetic treatments as well as manicure and pedicure treatments. The spa contains beautiful settings, professional services and high quality natural products. The swimming pool is located near the beach while there are wooden sun beds and parasols around. There is a part of the pool for small children. On the wooden terrace next to the pool is a jacuzzi which accommodates 6 people.
