SriLankan Airlines operate domestic scheduled flights, chartered flights and scenic flights branded SriLankan Air Taxi to some of the popular tourist destinations in the southern coastal belt and the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. The fleet of SriLankan Air Taxis consists of Twin Otter planes on straight floats with a seating capacity for 15 passengers. All otter planes land on identified locations of lakes, lagoons & reservoirs.
Availing of the air taxi service affords the business travelers and leisure travelers with the joy of having breathtaking aerial views of verdant green landscapes, waterways, highlands and beaches. Over and above the scenic beauty, is the advantage of saving 85% of the time spent in surface transport.
SriLankan Air Taxi has made some of the tourist attractions of the island accessible within an hour and now flies to 16 destinations: Kandy (2 sites), Bentota, Nuwara Eliya, Hingurakgoda, Galle (Koggala), Weerawila, Ampara (2 sites), Katunayake, Ratmalana, Trincomalee, Katukurunda, Sigiriya, Dickwella, Kelaniya and Anuradhapura.
Alternatively, SriLankan Air Taxis can be chartered privately as long there is a suitable landing area. Flights are operated only during day light hours and during acceptable Weather conditions.
In the event of a canceled flight, the crew will help you to source alternative transport.
